About the Training

First Aid means the initial help that was delivered to the sick and injured. These help might seems simple but making a difference between life and death. The two days training will emphasize on the emergency procedure that can be carried out immediately if there is any injury or sickness happen in the workplace. This is a highly hands on training with plenty of practical sessions and life like mock cases to expose participants to emergency scenarios.

 Program Objectives / Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate Basic Life Support Steps i.e. CPR and Heimlich Maneuver
  • Demonstrate how to use AED with combination of CPR
  • Manage injury and illness at workplace i.e. Bleeding, Fracture, Burn, Shock, Spinal Injury, Asthmatic Attack, Heart Attack, Seizure etc
  • Manage Multiple Casualty Scenario with systematic approach
  • Enable the management to comply with the Legal Provision and DOSH guidelines

Definition of First Aider

According to DOSH Guidelines, a First Aider means a person who has successfully completed a first aid course and has been awarded with a Certificate of Competency in first aid.

  • Physically and mentally fit
  • Basic proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia or English

Assessments

Participants are required to sit for written (MCQ) and skill assessment. Full attendance (2 full days) is a prerequisite for the assessments.

Certification

Having completed the 2 days course and passed the assessments, participants will be awarded:

  • Certificate of Competency in First Aid and CPR and AED
  • Course Completion Card
