About the Training

Emergency Response Team (ERT) is one of the most important team in the workplace to make sure the safety of employees during emergency. Most of the time, Safety Officers had tried their very best to equip their ERT with the best training, almost yearly, just to find out in a drill or a real emergency that the ERT could not function without intense instruction and supervision.

As the forerunner of industry ERT Education in Malaysia, ER Academy had conducted thousands of drill yearly throughout Malaysia. Our training team found a repeating yet puzzling trend that there are several common problem that affect the ERT to function, with one of the most severe pitfall points to the competency of the ERT Leader in our workplace.

ERT leader most of the time is the most committed and outstanding person in the ERT that had been appointed in coordinating the ERT during emergency in the workplace. Anyhow, they often receive the same level of basic training, and exposure, just as all the other ERT members. The basic level of training was designed to deliver the basic technical skills for ERT, which is obviously insufficient as Leader are meant to lead with knowledge in STRATEGY AND TACTICAL aspect of handling the emergency, as an ON SCENE COMMANDER, rather than put their hand on operating the fire nozzle at ground zero.
The On Scene Commander Development Program (OSCDP) had been designed after taking into account extract from thousand hours of drill experience from small and big organization throughout the country. The training emphasize on strategy and tactical solution for common situation that can be encounter at Malaysian workplace, like Gas Fire, Chemical Vapour Leaking, Chemical Liquid Spillage, Compartment Fire, Mass Casualty Incident, Search and Rescue Operation and etc.
