WORKING AT HEIGHT

About the Training

This training is specially designed for participants who are working at height. The program

is aimed at helping participants understand the hazard and risk working at height and how

to prevent from falling accident. Working at height has been an issue due to highest number

of accident. According to SOCSO 2007 reports in “Person falling” there are 13417 reported

cases with 228 reported fatalities. Knowledge, skill and attitude are very important in order to

prevent falling accident with the used of proper safety hardness.

Program Objectives / Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the hazards of working at height
  • Recognized the risk on working at height
  • Understand the working at height requirements and guideline
  • Able to manage risk control to prevent fall
  • Differentiate between working at height below and above 2 meters

UNDERSTANDING OSHA AND ITS REGULATIONS

About the Training

This training is specially tailored for participants who wish to enhance their
understanding on the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and its regulations. In
order to minimize the hazards and risk, an organization has to identify related Safety and
Health Regulation that needs to register in list of legal requirement.

Program Objectives / Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Define OSHA 1974 and its Regulations
  • Describe the requirements of occupational safety and health 1994 and its Regulations
  • Identify the elements of OSHA 1994 that related to their organization activities, products and services
  • Evaluate and prioritize OSHA 1994 and other regulations such as (FMA) Factory & Machinery Act 1967

EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN & PREPAREDNESS

Course Overview

Accidents happen at any time and emergency situation is chaotic. Any emergency that arises from an accident often escalates into a crisis affecting employees and the communities as well as the smooth operation of the company. This course will prepare the participants in reduce the impact of such an emergency situation.

Course Objectives

Completing the course, participants will be able to:

  • Plan and prepare effective emergency plans
  • Develop the hierarchy of command
  • Lead and contribute directly in the event of emergency

BASIC OCCUPATIONAL FIRE FIGHTING

Course Overview

Fire is one of the scariest disasters that could happen to a workplace. Luckily most fire start small and if preventive measure and training done well, we can limit the damage of fire event to its minimal or even null. This course is specially designed to introduce participants to the duties and responsibilities of a fire fighting team, and to obtain the necessary skills in fire safety, prevention and risk assessment. This course provides awareness of the danger of fire, guidance in the use of fire extinguishers and how to carry out the fire routine procedure. It also includes intensive elements in fire fighting like Hose Team and Drill. A highly recommended practical course for workplace Emergency Response Team (ERT).

Course Objective

Completing the course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the chemistry and method of extinguishing fire
  • Demonstrate the use of the Fire Extinguisher promptly
  • Demonstrate the correct skills to form a hose team
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage fire, safely and effectively
  • Demonstrate understanding of self rescue technique during event of fire

Validity

Certificate of Competency valid for 3 years from the date of training. Without retraining, knowledge might be forgotten while skills may deteriorate rapidly when not being used / practiced. Therefore, every 3 years retraining is very much recommended.

FIRE FIGHTING AWARENESS

Course Overview

This Fire Fighting Awareness course is design to introduce initial awareness regarding the knowledge to fight the fire especially in the incipient phase. We can limit the damage of fire event to its minimal or even null. This course emphasize on methods to extinguish small fire, ways to do self-rescue in the event of fire mostly in the building or industrial.

Completing the course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the chemistry and method of extinguishing fire
  • Demonstrate the use of the Fire Extinguisher promptly
  • Ability to put off small fire
